Straydog (Susie's) husband has been having some cardiac issues and was on a 24 hr halter monitor earlier in the week, saw his PCP this morning for results and she just got called. He was sent directly to ER.

She will let me know when she gets there and knows something. In the meantime lets do what we do best and get this prayer thread rolling!!

I will update when she gets back to me.

Update : She's madder than a wet hen!! He's been having the cardiac issues and today really short of breath, also has an abscess unrelated, ER treats the abscess, no mention of halter monitor, arrhythmia's, breathing issues!! Nothing! She's worried of course and justifiably angry! She's looking into finding another Dr ASAP.

P.S.  I shouldn't say this out loud, but I've been in that position more than once.  The only prayer I could think of was "God, would you smote that guy in the white coat who thinks he's YOU?"

Can Susie DEMAND another doctor NOW?  Or would she be thrown to the floor, handcuffed and arrested for "disorderly concern and outrage"?  So frustrating and sad.

Ugh-Drs can cause such a headache! I hope they are able to get some answers. Cardiac issues are so scary.

I love it Dixie!! Some ER Drs priorities are ridiculous! Especially if you have an onboard specialist. It's like "oh I'm off the hook " this will all fall back to their Dr!

I know she's got to be worried sick. This arrhythmia things been causing him to just fall! They do live near big name city hospitals and I'm hoping if she doesn't get the right responses today she drives to one of them, or rather he let's her! Lol. Men right?

Keep him in your thoughts and prayers until they can get this figured out!

Thanks guys & gals. I am so mad I could & will probably burn someone's ears off the side of their head this morning. We are still waiting on a call back from the cardiologist as on Monday we were told all the Holt monitors are in use. Got a call Tuesday that some would be back Wed. well here it is Friday & nothing. The falling is because of his heart they say, his heart skips a beat every 3 seconds. ER was a complete joke. The problem is he is a large man, I cannot lift him. When he tries to stand up many times he falls. I had the fire dept out here last Thursday night getting him up off the floor, thank God for those guys. I have a horrible fear of him falling & breaking something.

We will see what my call gets done in a few.

Hi,

My prayers for both you and your husband are being lifted up, there is power in prayer, there is power in many praying together even more.

Holiday weekends are worse than regular weekends, which are bad enough at hospitals. Getting ahold of docs, Ha!

Hang in there, and think about moving into the ER waiting room if you believe he will not make it back for long before you have to turn around and head back. I used to do that with my son when he was little and unfortunately a regular patient at a distant hospital, they would discharge him, I would find waiting room have walk around, play, do what he would normally do for an hour before we would go home. More times than I can tell you he was re-admitted.

But with all seriousness of sincere concern, please do take care of you too, the stress on caregivers, loved ones, and when combined in one person, our life cord, you nourish and protect, doing battle with self proclaimed Demi-gods.

But may the one true G-d bless you and shine upon you both today,
