I have no problem hauling him to ER, lol. I also have no problem speaking up with drs either. One thing I learned a long time ago, they put their drawers just like I do one leg at a time.
I finally have him set for the heart monitor thing Tuesday morning & all I can say is they better have a machine for him, otherwise it is going to get really ugly over there. He is a big man & when he goes down I am useless, I can't pick him up. Yes I have had the fire dept come get him out of the floor & will not hesitate to do it when I have too.
I did call his gp & tell him what I thought of his cardiologist that he referred him to. I know he uses the same one personally, but I said the difference is you are a peer of his & that speaks volumes.
Yes, you are so right about
prayers in numbers, I have seen this work several times over & firmly believe in it.
I hope you have a good long weekend, The heat here in Tx is just awful.

We went to the cardio office this am & they put the monitor on him. Have to go back there tomorrow to return the machine. I am sure it will be another week before hearing anything out of them.
I did ask his home health nurse to put in an appeal to have his wound care extended which Medicare can approve. The ulcer appeared to be healing somewhat but then this abscess hit & now she is saying the ulcer is getting larger. Its always something sometimes.

I would think that given the
location of the wound, he'd qualify for aggressive and consistent care??
I was thinking of this because my MIL has
open sores (for her it's because she's wheelchair-bound), but the wounds are on the backs of both her thighs. They're high up, but she said (and maybe I'm not understanding correctly, so bear with me),....that if the wounds were actually on her buttocks, she'd be considered for additional medical care?
In her case, from what I gathered from her, just a few inches in distance of fleshly
locations, seems to be the difference between coverage and not.

Susie,
Since we are in the same general area, I think, I wanted to let you know about
the good care I've received from Heartplace clinics. It was my first experience with a cardiologist. Labs, 3 tests were scheduled, plus an appointment in 3 weeks. I expected to not hear anything until that app't. Wrong! Two days after each test I got a call from the nurse with all the info. I hope that's the way all their clinics work. I've only gone to the one in Mansfield and see Dr Pattel.
I was glad to read your comment about
calling the Fire Dept to help pick your husband up. So many people don't know that's a service their cities provide, at least that's true around here.
Prayers continue.
