sorry to ask again...med count & vomitting.

You call your Dr before taking that dose again. You can't do that and stay in compliance with whatever agreement you have with your Dr. I can't stress how important this is these days when they're tightening the control over all our meds. One too many off u/a's use to get you kicked to the curb but now we don't have that leniency anymore and regardless of the reason for running out before time you can still be discharged.

I second the benedryl, it's has saved me more times than I would like to remember. It turns off the reactive vomit center in your brain -- but I would only do this if you have reached that empty dry heave stage otherwise you might keep in the toxin that your body is trying to expel quickly. Although I have found that I would gather go number 2 over vomit any day of the week and that is basically what you'll do if you stop vomiting early, so decide wisely.

There is baby benedry which is liquid but I have found I am totally able to keep down benedryl pills, like my body is smart enough to know the difference (it's not, I've just been lucky so far).

I don't mean to be dense. Does Benadryl only work for the vomiting if the drug is what is upsetting your stomach such as you may be allergic to the drug?

Do you have Zofran at all?

I have had that happen to me a few times, where I've thrown up right after taking meds. I've always had enough extra to take another one after an hour or two, but mine hasn't been because I can't tolerate the meds, but usually because my stupid butt starts coughing from choking on my coffee, LOL.

I agree though, if it's making you throw up that much, you need a new med. ((((hugs))))
