       Frances, it sounds like you may have a constricted flow of blood supply to that area. Maybe a clot?

   I would certianlly follow it up and not let it go. I also don't know much about Diabetic Neuropathy...could this be a possibilty as well?

Thanks. I have to call my PCP on Monday anyways to follow up on my thyroid results. Usually she's really good but I've just been so stressed lately so she really feels like she doesn't want to help me until I go for this experimental treatment that is supposed to cure me of my stress in 3 visits -- you can understand my skepticism.

I was checked for diabetes a few weeks ago & don't have that. And even though I have freezing cold feet, apparently I have a healthy pulse.

I don't get charlie horses or anything like that. Just feels like I'm wearing a super tight elastic band sock even with nothing on my feet at all & short shorts or a dress. Putting on a compression stocking helps a little bit, but it still hurts like the dickens. The only time the pain changes is when I'm walking up or down stairs & put some weight on that foot then it feels like a quick shooting hot pain going up my leg to my low back.

But I guess I'll just have to suck it up & make her look at my leg or else see if my podiatrist can recommend someone who can take a look at it. I've been taking a lot of Motrin lately b/c my pain meds have not been cutting it. Maybe it's connected to that. God, like I need one more thing to try to deal with right now.

I have this And its under investigation Ive had it for 2 years. I believe its related to a Blood flow issue as the soles of my feet are like Paper Dry and a weird empty sensation the pain goes across the trop of my Feet as well.
in my research on My related issues IE impending paralysis Circulatory issues are a very Loudly spoken issue. NO yuou arwe not going top be paralyzed. I may be however I have been aware of that for 25 years. Waiting for my broken Back to finally saw thru my Spinal chord. I have 8 T L and S section broken vertebra and NO viable disks to support them. a real nasty situation.
HOWEVER I do not eliminate the prospects of a herniated disk pressing on the nerve roots to your legs and Feet. Common VERY and Yes I have compression of the nerve roots from a dwindling end plate problems not Disk compression. the offending Disks could be L4/5 or L5/S1 the last 2 Vertebral spaces before the tail bone the Sacral ( S spine ). In all I have 15 broken vertebra C2 to C7 T10 to L5. L2 L3 and L4 are now only 30% of normal height. Thus I sincerely expect your problem to me as urgent as mine but I do urge you to discuss this with your Doctor and Let his Read my notes. GP's are not NeuroSurgeons and would normally dismiss this and test you for Diabetes and other Heart related issues. Wasting precious time. I have made it my journey to be as educated as the Best Neurosurgeons regarding MY spine as it has been a 25 year journey of pain and What to know before allowing a Total Spinal Fusion! C2 to 7 and T 10 to S1. Both parts are now Urgent. What I believe is your problem can be resolved by almost Day surgery, now In Canada its a 2 day stay iun hospital following surgery. The procedure is to trim the dish that is protruding over the nerve Perhaps momentarily removing the nerve from the cavity it normally passes thru and with a surgical drill, remove any Ostio-arthritic diseased bone. This is actually very harmless procedure compared to how it sounds from my description. you will have SURGICAL pain and that ELASTIC BAND ON your ankle will go away. Frankly the simple way to RULE this as Your problem or NOT is to have an Xray and most important a CT scan of your low Back. The results of the CT will indicate if an MNRI is Needed and just how urgently it is required. I hope I am WRONG however IF I am not I hope you will not delay in seeking Better Professional help. I am a self taught person. relating my Issue to how you describe yours.

I am new to this Group but not to chronic pain and the list opf Hells it brings.
