Meh. I didn't have any problems during the infusion except for feeling drunk and in a fog. I didn't really sleep, I don't think.
But I'm not sure that it gave me pain relief. I woke up this AM in the same amount of pain that I'm usually in, but, I think it may have made my IR med (Morphine, 15mg) work better or faster or something, I'm not sure.
I don't think that I'd do it again though. It was just ... I don't know, I didn't like it. I had to take the whole day off work, plus I was just KNOCKED OUT afterward. I fell asleep on my bed, woke up at 6:50 PM and it was dark, but I thought it was the next morning. I was definitely confused for a while after.
This is the fourth procedure I've had with this PM doc. Three nerve blocks and now this infusion. I don't want to do it anymore; nothing has helped so far. He recommended we try an SCS next, but I can't have anything in me that will prevent me from having MRIs in the future due to my acoustic neuroma that has to be monitored.
I'm just really frustrated. I've done anything that every doctor has told me to do and no results. I guess I just have to be patient and hope that the PT I'm having will help. Though the therapist has said to me twice that she's not sure how much the PT will do for me because it's not a muscle or tissue issue, according to her. :(
