The doctor botched my surgery. I have
Been running fever off and on for three
Weeks and a headache when standing.
He told me to take Ibuprofen and drink
Lots of Caffeine. I called 3 times to
Him and four times to the hospital.
Thankfully I called my Pain Management
And when he seen me yesterday morning
He decided to refer me to a new Neurologist
But it would take a few days. I couldn't handle
The pain from the headache any longer
So I went to the hospital and they did a CT
And immediately they saw a four to five cm
Flood filled mass. I am now admitted with a
New Neurology team. They are planning to go in
And remove everything because they think it's a
Leak or abscess or even both. This is a much
Harder surgery so I would appreciate all the prayers. I will update
When I can.

Healing thoughts! Good job trusting your instincts and not waiting -- it's a wonderful reminder to is that we know our bodies and must be a diligent advocate for our health. Good luck and stay positive!

They are going to remove "everything"? That sounds a tad excessive.
Hope you don't mind my silly attempt at humor to lighten your mood.
Good luck and good thoughts coming your way.

i am so sorry. i will be in intercessory prayer with the others. get well, no other worries or concerns in the world. then keep thought "they have malpractice insurance for this reason". maybe this surgery will not be harder, rather one that brings you were you would have been right around the 16th. i pray the worst is behind you. God bless you and the team taking care of you. NICK

It's infection he fused one side and it messed up the other one. Some of the test are say abscess and with you removed everything clean it out and put it back it. Apparently he chipped a bone off that is floating in the fluid. Surgery at 11. This neurosurgeon is a team and everyone agree. I'm sick I can't raise without the headache have had mutiple bags of caffeine. They have also found other things that look old but that the dr wanted all my MRI and my Myelogram CT instead of radiating me a 3rd time. My original dr released me without having peed said I would go in my natural habitat exact words. Needless to say he has damaged nerves at my bladder too. Just pray please.

Hey Proudmom.I hate what this Doc has done.I hope they get you stable and fix your back.Really scarey to think that it won't be many more years and I'll be on an operating table.Putting it off as long as I can.
God Bless You.Hope you're feeling as good as can be.
Take care,

PM, you are in everyones thoughts & prayers. It sounds like you have a good team of drs taking care of you.
I do hope that when it is time to hire an atty please do your homework. If at all possible hire an atty that is board certified in medical malpractice law. You need the very best there is & don't waste your time hiring an atty that handles a little bit of this & a little bit of that. I worked in the legal field for many, many years.
Take care.

Prayers for you and your new team of surgeons. Hopefully they can get this mess straightened out and you back on the road to recovery soon.
We say this so many times and I know people get tired of hearing it but do your homework on your surgeon, know what others are saying, read reviews,go to your states license board and check the Drs standing, any sanctions, malpractice suits past or pending, make sure that the Neurosurgeon is Board Certified and has experience with the procedures your having done. This is not a guarantee but it sure cuts down on the odds people of something like this happening.
I see people who ask around about
a mechanic for their car,get estimates on home improvement and take the first surgeon they see?? There are good and bad Drs as with anything else, they're human and fall into human bad habits as anyone else after med school and I darn sure want to know if the person wielding a scalpel to my spine has a history of drinking, and or something worse, making mistakes, going through difficult issues in his life, and although it may not be foolproof you can bet I am going to look at him closely. If its a pattern it's going to be common knowledge and out there. Don't assume if he has a license he's ok thats not always true.
I sure hope that the Neurosurgeon team now can undo the damage done and that there's enough documentation for a lawsuit because its not easy to get one surgeon to testify and crucify another no matter how much they know and see.

I hate that all of this is happening. Having surgery is such a big decision, and then to have it not work-well, it's just not fair. I'm having a temper tantrum for you.
Please let us know how you are doing.

So see previous post about
what happened. My mom ended up running all over the place getting all my MRI disc. After the dr seen it what they seen is that the dr was stunned. Basically what he was doing is doing little here and there to make money and he got caught. I ended up needing 2 fusions & 12 nerve decompressions. Once the Surgery and moving me to the radiology table over (that hurt like heck) was over I only had incision pain. No sciatic nerve pain I do have a little bit of the burning nerve pain but boo where near as bad! God has truly blessed me with a wonderful physician. Every time I see him he tells me don't thank me thank him! Takes my breath away.
