I really wanted to try zohydro, I'm on Norco, like 4-6 a day and didn't want all the the acetaminophen. So my doctors "health director called my insurance company with all my med "fails". Even then they said "no way" so I had the pharmacy order it before I knew did wouldn't cover it, it is $550 w/out insurance coverage. For 30 days. So now I am waiting to see what she wants me to try next. She is against oxycodone for some reason. I want to try opana but she might have an issue with those...idk. I've failed on fentanyl,methadone,mscontin,tramadol,and Norco(because of acetometiphin). I also found out my old insurance covered zohydro and I just switched in February.

Thanks for the info. It's not as expensive as I thought it would be. Although still unobtainable for most folks.

Opana is "Crush Proof" for real.They're hard as a rock.lol...

When I took it I thought it provided adequate pain relief and actually lasted 12 hours.I was previously taking OxyCONTIN and thought it wore off after 8 hours.

I think a lot of Doctors don't like prescribing the oxy,roxy,etc..because they are more easily abused.

Good luck.I hope your Doctor prescribes you a med that works as you need it to.

I was prescribed hyslinger ER this week. The past three times I have seen doctor I have had a BP of 170 and up over 90. I was previously on morphine ER with a low dose of morphine for BT. It was making me a zombie though so I had pretty much stopped taking it which left me at a constant level 8-10 pain , which was affecting my BP, not to mention my day to day quality of life.
Well I was skeptical as its new and I had to got to three different pharmacies until I found one that could order.
The positives are, there is a coupon, free the first time, then 25 per month after, but even without the coupon it's only 60.
So far it does seem to help. Love the fact I only have to take it once a day!! I still take an ibuprofen every 10 hours to help with any BT pain. I do not feel like a zombie even on the 100mg dose.
The only con so far is a very dry mouth it's awful!!

Btw in case you did not know because I had never heard of it hyslinger is like zohydro except it's only once each day.
Also I was prescribed Opana before the generic long acting morphine.
It was ok ,although I think the Hysinger ER is better, anyway my insurance would not pay it was 350 for 30 days!!! Crazy....

Hysinger is also suppose to be tamper proof another plus in Drs eyes.

Yeah, I've heard of the hyslinga too, but insurance said no to that too. I might ask about that one if there is a coupon. Thx

There is a coupon! First month free and then 25 per month :) good luck I hope you can figure one out that works
