I feel like crap. My head hurts. I feel pressure in my forehead going into my eyes. I'm more light sensitive than normal. My balance is kinda off and lightheaded. I can't keep my head upright for to long without it feeling off. Stupid concussion. My neurologist doesn't except no-fault so I can't go see them. So instead I'm gonna at least go see my primary today although it will probably be pointless. I think I'm gonna call my chiropractor about my neck and shoulders. They are so tight and sore. And I know she can loosen them. I'm pretty sure she takes no-fault, but I'll find out in a little while.

Do you have private health insurance? Since this was a single car accident I would use my private health insurance over my auto unless the private says to use auto first. Are you filing it under the Med Pay or PIP? Either will have a limit. Good luck.

Yikes, sorry to hear you're still feeling the effects of the accident. Why does it have to persist? Yuck! Hope the chiro can help.

I am sorry that your so miserable. I can just imagine, had a sinus infection once and had some of the symptoms you have, it was enough to just make me want to lay my head down and not get up. I know its not the same, but it sure can be trying.

I hope you get the help you need and start to feel better soon!

I do have private health insurance. But since it was a car accident I don't think they will let me file it under with them. Not sure which it's going under.

I totally get your insurance situation. Two years ago I had epidural injections and 9 days later got hit by a truck as I was walking my dog. The car insurance refused to have an MRI of my lumbar spine done since I was treating with my pain specialist. The pain specialist nearly refused to do follow up if he wasn't going to be paid my Medicare! What a mess! To this day, there has been no MRI, my pain is worse and no one wants to be billed! The delay, as they argued over the MRI being done, meant my shoulder and cervical spine MRI's couldn't be scheduled in a timely manner. Meanwhile, I suffered another accident involving the shoulder and now, the auto accident party does not want to take responsibility for the torn labrum! The whole situation is still a mess. I hope you get your sorted out quickly and get timely treatment!

I just talked to my neurologist. They will see me for the headaches and wants me to follow up with primary for the concussion

What2, call your private insurance & ask what their guidelines are. Because of no other vehicle or person being involved that caused the accident usually they will allow you to use your private insurance. Explain to them you are having problems getting drs to treat you with the no fault. I doubt very seriously they can deny paying the claim.

They may send you a letter & ask questions such as was the accident caused by another party & if so who is that parties insurance with They are entitled to this information by law. This is called subrogation. I dealt with private insurance all the time with clients that used their health insurance for auto accidents. People can use their private insurance for medical care when involved in a car accident. The private insurance gets reimbursed by the other parties insurance out of any settlement. The only way your private insurance can deny paying the claims is if there is a stipulation in the policy setting this out.

I talked to my neurologist this morning and they are treating my current migraine issues and gave me some advice for the concussion. They are changing my current migraine meds and putting me on prednisone. So hopefully I'll start to feel slightly better and get the headaches under control. My chiropractor is closed this week so I have to wait til Monday to call for that.

That's good news, hopefully you WILL get to feeling better.
