Hoopshouba,
Yea, a critically low potassium can lead to all kinds of serious problems including heart arrhythmias. Not a good situation t be in and so glad you were able to get some fluids in you to stabilize it.
If I remember when I first had my Vit D level checked and it was so low, I was taking 50,000 iu's a day, then I had a recheck in 12 weeks and level only came up 5. The doc said normally the level goes up very slowly so expect a long haul in taking supplements. Well he was right! To this day I am still taking them, but it's all good I would rather have a little more than a lot less.
Hugs from Texas,
Pam
