Medicaid denied my er morphine

I have been taking morphine er 15mg and 15 ir twice a day for 9 months. I also take lorazepam .5 mg up to 3 times a day. Now medicaid has denied my er because I take lorazepam. I have to decide if I want less pain or less anxiety. I'm just glad I haven't been taking a higher dose of morphine or I would be going through withdrawal now. When my pysch doctor prescribed the lorazepam she said it was safe to take with the morphine in that dose. I don't get how insurance thinks they know better than the doctors.

Your Dr can appeal the decision and explain the necessity of the medication. Maybe that will make a difference.

Definitely do. Appeals work. Have worked for me. Maybe best to get the appeal form from your insurance company and then ask your doc to fill it out. Is that still how it works?

Also the lorezapam is probably a lot cheaper if you paid cash than the Morphine ER.

I take MS Contin 30 mg x 2.

Maybe another anxiety med...I take morphine and celexa. When I had Medicaid it covered both.
