Hello Just started today I have been fine for the last 2 months, pain wise but now I'm getting this pain all around my ankle. I had an operation to my fibula and a few other parts around my ankle about
5 months ago but just all of a sudden its just hurting for no reason. Any ideas?

Hello. It could be arthritis or it could be something with soft tissue,ligament,etc..
Hard to say when it's something that's been operated on 5 months ago.
If it continues call your Surgeon.
Take care.

Sorry to hear this. Have you stepped awkwardly and re-injured the ankle? As TMouse said, arthritis is always a possibility with any joint. I'd give my doctor a call just to be safe.

Hello and welcome! Sorry to hear of your troubles but glad you found us.
Is the area swollen? Discolored? Any 'streaks' of color? These might be of concern if they are present and should be looked at sooner rather than later.
What have you tried for relief? Does raising it up help? Putting ice on it? Adding support? These are clues that may help your doctor determine what's going on.
Keep posting. Let us know how it goes.

Welcome to the Chronic Pain forum!
This may not apply to you but here is my own personal experience. After extensive ankle surgery, the last of my pain did not end until the dr made orthotics for me. That took care of it as long as I wear them in my shoes every day. Simple solution! I hope you can have complete relief in some simple way.

well its swollen but its been a little swollen ever since I had the operation. Not too bad though, just a little. Also this is the first really cold day we've had for months, I'm thinking maybe its sensitive to cold idk

Hello again,
I read your other posts about
your karate. That could easily be the reason for your pain. I assume all that is done without shoes, lots of running, kicking. Be careful that you don't hurt your foot again, it's probably not totally healed from the surgery. And maybe it is sensitive to the cold.
Have a good day!

I was gonna ask if there was hardware when they did the surgery. I have a plate in my femur that likes to tell me when it's cold outside. Yup, pain/aching in the leg happens.
Perhaps it's that simple. But if it persists/comes with other symptoms, I wouldn't hesitate to ring the orthopedic surgeon'
(A heating pad helps decrease my aching on cold, damp days.)
Best wishes!

Arthritis would be first guess. It never hurts to check with your Dr. Try elevation, heat/cold therapy, and ibuprofen for now.
