Hey Leila...Just checking in on your daddy. I'm sorry to hear this, but I am a realist. IF there is such a thing as "prepare"...you should do so. This may not end well, as I've said from the beginning. I've been through this, walked those same hallways, waiting for my 5 minutes in ICCU to say "I'm here. It's gonna be alright. I love you"...even when I knew it wasn't.
Don't ever give up hope, but allow your faith to guide you.
I know you are seeing your doctor today and I'm thinking of you...positive thoughts that he/she will understand your pain and suffering.
I saw my PM yesterday. I'm still not over it. My mom's 89th birthday is tomorrow, May 1st. I always take cake to serve 35-40 residents plus staff. She through a fit last year and would not come to the dining hall of the living center. We proceeded without her. Ten years of this (a lifetime really) has taken it's toll on me, with no help (just critique) from siblings.
I am depleted. And the rest of the story....
