Well, its Monday already. I am not sure where the weekend went. We had some badly needed rain over the weekend. The mornings are finally cooling off here in Texas, although we are still in the 90's in the afternoons. Fall must be around the corner.
I hope everyone had a decent weekend. Not much going on for the week ahead except picking up my grandson after school & keeping him until a parent gets off of work. I always look forward to picking him up in the afternoons. What does everyone else have planned for the week?
For the new members this is where we check in & if anyone has surgery or procedures planned let us know. A few extra prayers can go a long way. If you have a family member in need of a prayer or two let us know.
Happy fall everyone!!!

Happy Fall Susie.
I'm in Alabama so the cooler weather feels great. It was 71 this morning.A month ago it was 90 in the morning.
The weeks do fly by.For me,I think it's because I measure the passing of time by my monthly PMD appointment and my prescript
ions.
Nothing special is going on this week.I guess that's good in a way.
I hope y'all have relaxing low-pain weeks.

Fall has fell and leaves are everywhere. It's because of a month of drought that it's early.
I see my ENT to get Epley maneuver this week. I sure hope it takes so I can tip my head backward and lie down on that side without instant vertigo. I can't get the gardening done because I can't bend over either.
I started on Opana ER 5 mg (one in evening), which is helping a bunch at night. I wake up without the agony. But there's always catch when you find something that works. My eyesight has suddenly gone bad. I was able to read the newspaper and the computer screen without glasses before Opana, and since starting it I have to wear reading glasses. Distance vision is OK. Pupils are not pinpoint.
It suddenly started overnight with the Opana. I wonder if this is permanent, will it get worse, is it reversible?
I've done some searching, but outside of finding that blurry vision is a common side effect there are no details given.

Well yea I know it's not Monday but thought I better check-in anyway since Susies already came looking for me! Thanks for the check-in Susie and went cabin camping just me and my 17 yr old daughter! She's going to be off and busy with her life as an adult before long and the opportunities to spend time together like this will be gone although she denies that we all know it happens! Had a great weekend just lazying around sitting on the cabin porch swing and reading together. We are both avid readers. A bit sore today since I can't lug my recliner with me I had to resort to the cabin bed to sleep and I have slept in a bed maybe twice this year?
Had a uneventful PM appointment last week and at this stage of the game with my pain as controlled as much as possible and having learned how to just live with the rest all my appointments are just routine.
My daughter and her bunch headed home for a wedding last Thursday and sent some gorgeous pics of Cumberland falls and the mountains with fall definitely starting to show up there!! The leaves changing colors are probably the one thing I miss the most living in Florida. Its OK though because I know with those changes the cold and snow are not far behind and that's the one thing I would never miss.
Hopefully everyone had a good weekend and will have a good week ahead as well.

Hello all. Did some clean up in the yard yesterday. Planted some mums and made some scarecrows to watch over them.
Tomorrow I will go with my daughter for her consult with the neuro surgeon. We're both a little on edge.
Planning on making a hearty beef stew for supper tonight. Trying to keep busy, keep my mind off of it.

I am late as usual. Am waiting to hear about
the MRI. Will have to delay it until next month, just don't have the money yet.
I'm so happy it is fall. Although we won't see much change in temperature until late October. Wish I was traveling to see the leaves.
Hope everyone is feeling less or no pain.

Happy hump day everyone! Went with daughter to meet the surgeon. She has decided he will be the one to do the pituitary resection. They will call in a day or two to let her know what day it is scheduled. He's going to be away for about
2 weeks, so it looks like the 3rd week of October. In the meantime, she has an appointment to meet the surgeon that will be doing the '
opening' of her skull, behind the sinus and she will be having a head CT done that will give both surgeons more information to help them with the procedures.
Talk about
a distraction from my pain!

well my favorite time of year ( next to Christmas ) is finally getting here! I think I really do like fall the best of all the seasons! I just finished decorating my fire place mantle with pumpkins and Indian corn to bring a fall look indoors! Plan on making apple dumplings tomorrow to eat with my apple cider I just got!
Anyway I have been getting PT for my right knee from the VA the last few weeks and it has helped quite a bit in increasing my range of motion with that knee an leg! Maybe I will get that knee replacement leg back into shape yet!!!

prayers for my bro. he is very mentally unwell. I am doing all I can, but these idiots who think they know him better refused the intervention I asked for 2 weeks ago, and now it will most likely happen as he is not cognisant, filthy living conditions, extreme paranoia, he thinks he has killed us, his family and is looking for the gloves and stuff. if he is not sectioned under the mental health act tomorrow, then I will take immediate action. thx for caring.

Of course you are frazzled with all that's going on with your family. I'm very sorry. Take care of you and do what you can for others-I know you will.
