Monday check-in

Awesome moon last night although here the cloud cover only allowed a peek at it occasionally and we didn't get the full effects being this far South it was absolutely gorgeous all the same!!

This is check-in where we drop by on Monday to share how your weekend was and what the week ahead holds for you.Appointment,procedures,surgery and anything else you would like to share this is the place.

Hoping everyone had a good weekend and I spent the day yesterday working on the yard in small increments since it's still in the low 90s here or high 80s with horrid humidity and I am so looking forward to winter! Spent some time on and in the pool and painted the picnic tables.

Hard to believe we are already heading into October and the downhill run through the holiday season.

Well good lord HT if that's not a full plate you have there! As for your bro I have been following your other thread and this sounds like the best thing for him at this time as well as for the safety of your other brother. Prayers for a speedy recovery for your Mom and you remember to take care of the turtle in the midst of all going on. Remember you can be of NO use to any of them if you get down.

Sending you many healing thoughts and prayers for strength and vigilance for you to know when you need to take the time out for your health and well being.

Pouring rain last night, so no eclipse. :( I saw the one 30 years ago.

I'm trying to figure out how to get a poor little pet bunny rescued from a guy who left it with no food, sitting in it's filth on the bare ground, while he went to see the Pope for 4 days. I fed it, of course. It had to sit out in the rain last night with only a little upside down plastic container to get under. He's probably wet. I'll try the local police. I can't take it in.

I re-started Opana ER, not having stomach problems this time - may have been from vertigo problem. But I do have double vision again. Is that something that will go away? Important? It gets me through the night.

I had a pretty good weekend. Moderate pain. I'm almost out of pain meds. I have my appointment with the doctor late today. I'm not sure what to push for. I am open to injections. A different muscle relaxer. I'm hoping he'll up my pain med as I am tired of running out every month and worrying that the insurance won't refill it.

Sorry to see so many having such a hard time. Hang in there and be strong! Keep fighting.

Pitmom what's the wrong or right reasons?? Pain leads to depression as depression negatively impacts pain. I don't think there's a fine line with CPers just don't blur what line exists,follow your prescribing Drs orders always,try everything else first,and ask yourself if you can push through this or if you need help in the way of your meds.

As for anniversaries of your parents passing is this really something sweety they would have wanted you to put so much emphasis on? Would they not rather have you remember a good anniversary?A moment in time when their seasons were in bloom and not have your life effected by the memory of the day those many seasons came to a close?

I stopped celebrating and worrying about birthdays when I noticed they were flying by,started celebrating decades because it makes me think I'm not getting older as fast!! Lol

You will be OK and you will get over this hump as well,give yourself some credit here. You have gone month's pushing ahead of the pain and thats a wonderful thing to be able to do. As CPers early in the game it's hard to imagine that you can ever have day's again when you can come out ahead of the pain and you can define it rather than it defining you,says something about your abilities to overcome the difficult sometimes seemingly impossible.

CD if you have not tried injections or even if you have and didn't get much in the way of relief it certainly is worth a try. There have been many series of them I and other's have gotten some good results and if you can just break the darn cycle sometimes it is enough. I will say again to ask your Dr if he thinks some hydrotherapy would be beneficial to you. Good luck

Alcie try the humane society or see if there's a rabbit rescue in your area. Animal abuse is the same whether it's a dog or pet turtle. As for the double or blurred vision,it's common for some on opiates in general as long as you make sure the opana is not spiking your blood pressure then you probably see that lessen with time.

That behavior in no way defines friendship and leans greatly towards stalking and obsessive behavior can be very dangerous! Do not underestimate this kinda strange actions here. Document everything,record the pounding and phone calls,keep all the notes,texts,messages and even the tricks like getting someone else to knock. Your phone likely has a voice recorder and video put the icons on your homescreen for one touch access then take what you have to the police and don't let what others think of him influence what you know about him.

As for the uti occurring more frequently than normal for self cathing is there any coincidence with your HRT therapy? I have seen people albeit usually men with PC on HRT complain of frequent irritation and uti's and wonder if this could be the case with you?

nvrthesame, it is indeed a fine line. I'm a 19 yrs sober alcoholic. The 'right reason' to take pain meds is for physical pain. The 'wrong reason' to take pain meds is for anything else. I used to 'self medicate' with booze, so having a different brown bottle is a dangerous proposition at times. I don't go into liquor stores or bars for a reason! I am careful with over the counter as well as prescription medications. I know me. I can't always be trusted. It is and always will be a double edged sword for me. I actually pray before each dose, that I won't find myself in need of 'the other fellowship'.

I know full well that I must think about what I am thinking about. Not every thought that comes into my mind must be acted upon. Not everyone chooses to get on the roller coaster, we find ourselves there! Getting off is the thing! Perhaps it would not be such a big thing to me if I hadn't been the one that had to identify my father at the hospital. Perhaps it would not be such a big thing to me if I hadn't been the one named to 'be her voice' in my mother's Advanced Directive and made the decisions I had to make. I appreciate your suggestion to change my perspective. Sometimes a nudge is all it takes.
