Monday checkin

Time is flying by as we approach the holiday. Just seems like there is not enough time in one day for those of us that move at a snail's pace, lol. However, with that being said I know I will get there, I always do. I take all the shortcuts & they usually work.

I am short on time this morning so, this will be a quick post. I hope everyone has a great week ahead.

Still miserable in this stupid, poorly engineered boot, and to add insult, the cat's gone missing and I can't go out to look for her.

If I can't dump the boot after doc visit next week, I'll just have to buy a different brand. This one's rubbed on a fracture blister until it's had a small infection. The design pinches in at the ankle, not great for swelling, and it hurts all the time. I'll have to keep antibiotic ointment and bandage on the blister until it eventually heals.

I miss the cat, even though I didn't want one. She got me out of bed and provided entertainment. I won't replace her until another comes along, when I can walk.

Well, my chronic daily migraine pain is still with me, the meds the Doc tried at home did not work.

Doc was much more sensitive this time. Jan. 12th I will be admitted to the hospital for a start of change of one major med I have been on for years, and IV med to hopefully break the pain cycle and then put on a new med for prevention maint.

I am somewhat hopeful as I have not done this route before. Even this doc says I am not a canidate for nerve block. So we will see what happens.

A little late, but I had a horrible weekend. My wife was at a seminar so I was with all 4 kids alone. Friday night and Saturday were ok. A little pain on Saturday but not too bad. Sunday I woke up and it was unbearable. It was so bad I threw up. I called my sitter and she came and helped with the kids. She understands because she suffers from migraines. By late in the day I was coming back around. Not sure if it's just healing from the nerve blocks or the fact that the surgeon took me off my anti-inflammatory 1 week before my Thyroid surgery on Friday. The past couple days have still been a bit out of sorts. Only today and tomorrow left and then I'm off for surgery. Hoping all goes well and I start to feel better after.

Trina doesn't sound like the boots helping anything and hoping he let's you ditch it.

Just wanted to let you guys know Susie and I are here we are just having a hard time posting due to the forum not loading or loading really slow. Trying to find out why so hang in there with us and if you have a problem you can get either of us via our email address at HW. If any of you are having trouble let us know.

Country Dad, so sorry for you pain level, I empathize for sure. Drag that meds have to stopped prior to surgery and that in turn causes pain. with migraines everything seems to be in an infinity cycle. I pray the surgery breaks that cycle for you.
