just found out i am pregnant , i had 3 back surgerys , on soma , norco , neuronin , lostartin ,what

i am on 350 mg of soma , 4 x a day , norco 10/325, 4x and neurontin 600 mg 4 x , i stopped taking them , my family dr says its ok , my pain dr says to switch to percocets , my obgys has no opinon , please help me , i dont wanna hurt the baby , i love it alread , i am about 6 weeks , i cant stand the pain , i take care of my 80 year old mom, and 5 kids , 3 of them have bipolar , my youngest gets into everything , hes 5 , i cant chase him if im in pain , other kids wont help me ,i am on lostatin for bp ,what can i do , i also have bad knees ,and genetrave arthritis in my spine , can someone tellme what i can take , im so confused , thank you

You may need to see a dr that deals in high risk pregnancy.

You definitely need to see a doctor that specializes in high-risk pregnancies. Suddenly stopping those medications, especially at those dosages, can be dangerous in itself. Taking nothing except prenatal vitamins is always the best scenario, but that's a decision that needs to be made by your specialist. I had to remain on (low-dose) pain medications during 2 of my pregnancies. However, it wasn't because I couldn't handle the pain - it wouldn't have been fun but I would've done it for my babies, no problem. After some trial and error, the decision was made for me to remain on them, because the pain was actually causing contractions and serious stress to my babies. I would not have carried to term...or even close. Instead, my babies were born healthy, with Apgars of 9/10. Again, taking nothing is absolutely best under most circumstances. The key is to see a reputable high-risk OB/GYN as soon as possible.

Cary I evidently missed something here and I am not sure what happened but I won't remove you however there are times when we all have had to take a step back from the keyboard and avoid the forum for awhile. Myself and a few others right in this thread,its difficult battling CP and trying to help other's as well. This is a diverse group and because of that diversity we sometimes don't see things the same way,its not wrong its just the way of things.
