Lyrica

Hi, I read here often but seldom post. I have peripheral neuropathy in my feet that is most likely medication induced. I've been seeing a PM for about 15 months. It took her about a year to get my symptoms under control enough for me to wear shoes other than birkenstocks. I have recently had an exacerbation and she is starting me on lyrica. I'm still waiting for insurance approval. For those of you that have experienced success, how long did it take? I'm really discouraged.

Yes and she increased the cymbalta to 80 mg.

I take Lyrica 100mg 3xdaily. I take it for joint pain, tentatively dx as fibromyalgia. But it's nerve pain we know for sure. It isn't a miracle med for me, but has really made a big difference. When I have increased the dose (100 2xday to 100 3xday) it was such a great experience. I personally have no side effects from Lyrica. I was also on Cymbalta and Neurontin at different times and those did not help me significantly.

Glad you have been able to get some other shoes finally! Congrats on that!! (it's the things we often take for granted that often really mean so much.)
