Please Pray For All Law Enforcement Officers And Their Familes. Also Pray For The Families Of Those That Have Lost Their Lives Protecting The Public.

It's awful. My best friend's husband(who is also a close friend) is a police officer and lost his best friend in the line of duty. They both were responding to a simple call of vehicle trouble. His best friend got their first and it was an ambush. An SUV hit him and drove off. My friend was a seconds behind and witnessed the whole thing.

My ex husband is also a police officer.

It just makes my heart hurt.

I grew up in a far different world where police were respected and appreciated. They were neighbors and church friends,we went to the same schools and they coached our little league teams. A time where you would never have thought to show disrespect to one,they kept our families safe,protected our property and our streets safe. This mindset of anti-law officer's is hard for me to wrap my mind around.

I can't imagine the fear of those who send their loved ones out in that uniform everyday with all this going on. My niece is a 25 year veteran of the police department back home and as her family we are pushing for her to retire. What happens when all families push for theirs to get out of the profession?

There are absolutely no words of compassion that will ease the pain of such senseless acts against our police officers. So my prayers are for this world to lay down the guns with the hate and get back to all lives matter.

only the police, a soldier and a government veterinarian should be the only people allowed to carry arms. why people need to carry a gun is beyond me.

in my day, if ya had an argument or something, you had a scrap and shook hands and had a beer afterwards. still do, mostly.

and yes, be thy not blind, for in any force there are rotten eggs.

The Officers,their families,and our Country need our prayers.

These Sniping,Ambush attacks have got to stop.

I would imagine Gun sales are at an all time high.

Such sadness and grief permeating this country.

I cannot see any justification for taking the life of a law enforcement officer. The pressures placed on law enforcement in their day-to-day interactions is beyond comprehension.

The sanctity of life is to be cherished. Every life is to be respected.

The police presence in Portland, Ore is notably higher in the city and surrounding suburb communities. Patrol cars are out in higher visibility. All patrol cars have double officers riding in them. It is chilling to witness.

change the gun laws. bs macho right to bare arms is Americas down fall. I feel for your president, nobody is listening to there leader. yes what is happening is so wrong, albeit it is the gun culture that is at question.

Even though I am Canadian , I think gun control is very much needed in the USA. It is a sad day for everyone when these things happen.
