Incision has prickly feeling 8 weeks post op acdf

Its a good day!! I have abscess in incision. Antibiotics almost 2 weeks now. Looking better but I have a prickly feeling around incision.. Not tingling like nerves waking up. Prickly and nothing is touching my skin.
Anyone?

It takes a very long time to recover from cervical spine surgery. I was impressed that I didn't have to wear my neck brace after only a short time, but 4 years later I still have a numb area in the front of my neck around the scar.

I wish I could offer some sort of advice, but I haven't had any sort of spine surgery. I do hope you get an answer because prickly does not sound fun.

Raew64333 well it has been close to a week now since you first posted this thread, and hopefully your abscess in your incision is healing up and that prickly sensation is fading away. So many things can cause such sensations, so it is really difficult to even guess what might be the actual cause. Anyway I've been on and off lately checking the different post and after reading this one, was just curious as to how you were getting along from your surgery!
