well hello everyone. thought i'd stop by to say hi and an update. i hope that everyone is doing as well as can be and a prayer for one and all for any kind of relief from the aches and pains.
for starters the good news. for the last 13 years i've had my share of lower back pains and surgeries.
two laminectomies and two fusions. (l-4/l-5/s-1) so have kept the doctors busy. anyway in 2013 and on
my birthday i had my pain pump implanted. (birthday gift from my doc i guess)LOL
well for the last 8 months i have been having the pump dosage reduced 10% every two weeks to see
how my back would respond and knock on my hollow head(and wood) the pain has been in check.
if all works out well they can replace the meds with a saline solution.reason being if i don't need it,why
have it. also if god forbid i need pain mgtment in the future i won't have a high tolerance to it.
so fingers are crossed.
now the not so good news. not sure if i had mentioned this at a prior time but have some issues with
the rt.foot. so two an a half years i've had 4 surgeries on it. first surgery was an exploration to see basiclly
what was going on followed but two fusions(first fusion resulted in broken screw, second infected hardware
and last surgery to remove it) all started with a sharp stabbing pain at the right side of the ankle.
also here is something weird, my left foot is fine and pointing straight ahead but the right foot points out at a 45degree angle.
so couple of weeks ago i returned to my old foot doc(should have a couple years ago) ad he pointed
out a couple things the surgeon did wrong. but in the mean time i'm nursing a pressure ulcer on my
right heel (2nd time) i wish i was making this up. so i wait some more.
guess it's a good thing i've developed being patient about things like this. oh well, not much more you
can do but wait it out.. sorry for the bombardment here
wishing you all a good day and healthier tomorrows..
