Sarge:
I am grateful to the nerve trauma physician in providing you with a highly specialized evaluation of your affected arm and thoughtful discussion of what to anticipate moving forward in terms of healing . . . balancing hope with realistic optimism.
The mind-body connection is real. Visual imagery can affect healing. Visualize in your mind the native axon inching along and regenerating. Spend a few minutes each day in a quiet state to visualize your own healing. Picture in your mind where you need the axon to grow and travel to. Picture your fingers moving slightly.
Hope offers a powerful mind-set. Let the nerve trauma physicians’ message of hope lighten the burdens and dark thoughts that you have been carrying. Allow yourself to feel a renewed spring in your step. And, thank you, for not giving up.
There is no replacement for Good News. Good News is the absolute Best News that there is. Allow yourself to fully feel your Good News of today.
I enjoy Disney’s “The Lion King” animation. The music and sings resonate with me. The lion cub is offered words of wisdom from animal friends he meets in the jungle: “Hakuna Matata.”
Hakuna Matata, translated . . . “no worries.”
I may just go ahead and listen to the song/music of “Hakuna Matata” on a You-Tube video of the Lion King in a minute here to recalibrate my own day. It is a catchy little tune, cheery.
I wish for you Hakuna Malaya, no worries.
Karen
