I am doing better.

Just wanted to update everyone on my 4/5 5/6 cervical fusion. I AM getting better. All the burning is not gone yet but over half of it is! I have been blessed! Y'all don't know how much it meant for the replies and advice! Nobody told me that I would be pain free for 3 or 4 days and THEN it would come back. So glad that y'all KNEW and told me. I was so scared. Thank y'all for taking the time to help people.

Jo Ann, so glad to read that you are doing well & the pain is improving. A 50% reduction at this point is excellent. Sadly, these surgeons often do not tell a patient what to expect after surgery. Just as a heads up, as you continue to heal, it is common to have a hiccup here & there, just remember it's normal & temporary.

You had a lot going on once you got home that did not help your situation at all. A lot of the medications used at the time of your surgery wore off & you felt the brunt of this.

Keep us posted on how you are doing. Remember, it just takes time & a lot of patience.
