Hi everyone.... been awhile since I have been on.. I am still waiting on my Insurance to approve anything for me, there have already denied the neuro stimulator, so it goes back to another appeal with the surgical dept //// to do another appeal at my Dr's.. I have lost so much hope lately, and am now considering that its maybe God telling me NO , that this stimulator is not going to work for me. I go to my pain Dr this week, and I am gonna tell him, I want the pain pump instead.. I feel, of all the research I have done, this will take my pain away much better...I have been on Morphine, and other meds for over 13 years, and have had 2 fusions, and 1 lamectomy.. (Sp).... craziness is I want OUT OF THIS PAIN.... Now..... trials I know you have to go thro.....Pain is starting to go down my back, and I really need a inner costal nerve block also... so much everyday... we all go thro terrible stuff, and God know's all our needs.... Prayers for everyone of Us...... Thanks for any info on any cervical neck pain as bad as mine, and what you have done about it... Please let me know.... Hugs from me.... TRISH

I had a Stimulator for 2 years I didn’t care for it I felt it wasn’t helping me, a friend had one for 10 years and swore by it. I guess it just depends on the person,
I now have a Medtronic pain pump and works very well. I’ve had 5 cervical & 4 lumbar surgeries. As for cervical pain I’ve had C2-L1 front & back fused and after my surgeries I’m doing good. Last year the dr removed C2,C3 hardware now I can turn my neck a lot better and the pain is much better. My insurance denied my third surgery the dr didn’t write up the report right so I went to a spine specialist he helped me so much he did peer to peer with my insurance co in my MRI and my 4th cervical surgery. Anyone considering an SCS unit needs to google an article dated 11-25-18 released by the Associated Press. This article is an independent year long study. The problems discussed supports the members in this forum that had many different problems with the units. Patients, surgeons & the FDA were interviewed.
