Feels like flu - achey for years

I have Ulcerative Colitis and Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria with Angioedema. I’m finally feeling better, a lot better, but I still ache like I’m getting the flu.
This has been going on for years, sometimes worse than others.
They ran all kinds of tests for arthritis and say it’s not.
They say getting the IBD more controlled will fix it. But This is the best the IBD has been and I hurt. I hurt a lot!

What kind of doctor can help figure this out?

I'm glad that you are feeling better but sorry that you are still feeling pain.

Well, I would say your Gastroenterologist should have answered your questions.

Ulcerative Colitis, unfortunately can cause inflammation of patients skin, joints and eyes:

From what I've learned, the joint pain should go away and not cause damage like Arthritis can.

It could be fibromyalgia. Are you tired most of the time? Do you have trouble sleeping ? Many with fibro say they feel like they have the flu. Fibromyalgia has trigger points your PCP can check for tenderness. If your PCP thinks you have fibro he may or may not refer you to a rheumatologist.
