DOES ANYBODY KNOW OR HAVE ANY ADVICE FOR SOMEONE SUFFERING FROM THE FOLLOWING: ligament and tendon damage surrounding sacrum and coccyx. I have been to several surgeons and pain management Drs. I have had many procedures done which included RFA, epidural and sacral joint injections. I have recently tried a spinal cord stimulator lmplanted. All of these have not worked. They won't give me any pain meds because I take benzodiazapenes for severe anxiety. This makes it impossible to do the physical therapy I need because the pain is too great.. It also feels like my upper body is sinking into my lower body. It also makes it impossible to sit. Living in Phoenix, AZ.

Hi Jordan. Welcome to the forum.
While I don't have damage, I do have sacro-illiac problems and have found the yoga position Childs Pose gives me some relief. I also use a t.e.n.s. unit to help manage my pain in that area. Hopefully, others will chime in with suggestions for you.

Hi Jordan, so sorry to read about your struggles. Yes, there is a huge problem with drs prescribing benzos & pain medications. What I have seen is patients tend do better under the care of a psychiatrist for the benzos & the pain mgt dr prescribes the pain medication. I am not sure who is prescribing to you, but that is some food for thought.
Take care.

yes to all. Specific stretching and postural aides may assist. Help the turtle they do, me.
Soz about ya pain, yeah the benzo is the problem with pain meds, we all know why. Bugger. You just want some relief, drs are scared about being sued. HT
straydog has a good point, and maybe the pain doc and shrink can come to the party together to formulate a plan.
Not sure of your neck of the woods, am in Australia, albeit shrinks have a lot of sway with other specialists.
General practioner in your situation is useless. Keep strong. HT
