Hi James, in all of my years here at HW I have not heard of the vagus nerve causing impingement in the cervical spine. We've had a lot of members with impingement, typical symptoms are arm pain, some have described the feeling of like electrical shocks shooting down their arm, numbness & tingling in some fingers, shoulder pain & neck pain. With that said they have findings on their MRI's, along with some of the above symptoms.
My limited knowledge of the vagus nerve is with uncontrollable seizures & injury to the vagus nerve during certain gi surgeries.
