FINDINGS:
Alignment: There is loss of the normal lordosis, which may be related to patient positioning or muscle spasm.
Bone Marrow: Multilevel degenerative endplate changes are present with mixed fatty and sclerotic changes noted at C3, C6, and C7.
Vertebrae: Congenital narrowing of the cervical spinal canal. Multilevel disc desiccation and disc height loss with annular fissure noted at C5-C6. There are
degenerative changes as follows:
C2-C3: Mild to moderate bilateral uncovertebral hypertrophy and facet arthropathy result in severe right and moderate to severe left foraminal narrowing without significant spinal canal stenosis.
C3-C4: Bulky posterior disc osteophyte and severe uncovertebral hypertrophy, right greater than left and mild facet arthropathy contribute to asymmetric
right moderate canal narrowing and severe bilateral foraminal narrowing.
C4-C5: Small posterior disc bulge, mild uncovertebral joint hypertrophy, and mild facet arthropathy results in mild narrowing of the spinal canal and severe bilateral foraminal narrowing.
C5-C6: Circumferential disc bulge with superimposed left subarticular protrusion, moderate uncovertebral joint hypertrophy, and mild facet arthropathy results in asymmetric left moderate to severe narrowing of the spinal canal resulting in deformity of the anterior spinal cord, as well as severe bilateral foraminal narrowing.
C6-C7: Asymmetric posterior disc bulge, uncovertebral joint hypertrophy, and moderate facet arthropathy result in flattening of the spinal cord, severe spinal canal narrowing, and severe bilateral foraminal narrowing.
