New Here

I'm new here.....had back surgery 12 years ago that didn't work. Now I'm in worse shape. I wake up in pain....go to bed in pain. Little relief during the day. Going to pain management. Getting meds but not enough. Run out after about 15 days of a 28 day script and have to suffer until refill time. Trying to work a job in pain is almost impossible. Tired of living like this.....well tired of living period. Any help or advice is appreciated.

Thank you jlita. Yes it does suck. I hate to be forward but i'm just going to come out and ask. I will be taking my last pain pill in the morning. I can't get my refill until next Friday. Does anyone know of anything I can take OTC or a combo of OTC meds to get a little relief? I know you should never take more medicine than prescribed but I'm just trying to keep moving just so I don't lose my job.

I also forgot to put in my introduction that I also have severe restless leg syndrome so sleep is also hard to come by as well.

Hi Jdfan and N2Braves. I also take pain meds and know what its like to come up short. Sometimes the pain will get bad and you take an extra pain med for a few days and before you know it you are five or six pain pills short by the end of the month.

Cindy its been a long time since we talked. Remember me from our days at Spine Health? I never would have believed that forum would ever be closed down. There was a wealth of people who posted with so much info. So many people really cared about each other.

Like you my memory is shot!! Dr told me it is from long term opiate use. My screen name was either DMO or Painisreal. I honestly cant remember. I do remember a bunch of us always talked all the time. Also most of the moderators were great. For the life of me now I cant remember their names. Veritas bought spine health and it was all down hill from there. There were years and years of forum questions people have asked and the replies they received. I do remember Ron was the head moderator for a long time but veritas fired him for all his hard work!!!

I see you suffer from migraines. My main spine issues were from a two level cervical fusion. I also suffered with headaches for twenty plus years. My neurologist that had treated me for over twenty years just retired. Of course she promised to find another doctor in the practice to take me as a patient. On my last visit to see her I asked her who my new neurologist would be and she just blew me off saying she didnt bother to speak to any of the other drs. How is that for caring!!!

I never bothered to join spine health on facebook. All facebook forums seem chaotic to me. It is too hard to follow a single thread. It like everyone talking at once.
