Sounds like you got a bad deal when they won't help with adjustments to a new medication. Adjusting that far apart isn't doing it with the patient in mind, obviously. You should be able to at least talk to your doctor during the initial adjustment period. They always start low and adjust up.
Can you call your old doctor's office and for his advice about the problem? Talk to your pharmacist? Do you have any of the old medications left? Other than that I just don't know of any other options with breaking the contract.
This is a good warning for others who are just starting with new medications. Always ask about the adjustment period and what you can do if the medication isn't enough...and it rarely is.
