Hi, I'm new to this forum. Its January 25, 2008 and before Christmas I fell down my short, steep, carpeted stairs (about 5 of them). I had fell down them about 3 years ago (about 9 of them) and fractured the bone right above my tailbone. Anywho, THIS time I tried to land on my side to avoid hurting my back and ended up hurting my right side, from my shoulder to my hand. I went to the chiropractor a couple of weeks ago and felt SOOO sore . I still can't exercise properly, it hurts when I try to raise my arm straight up in the air. It seems like mid-way between my elbow and my shoulder it hurts, you know under the shoulder muscle that is bigger on guys then it smaller? How can you tell I'm not good with the muscles and the muscle groups?? Anyway, I usually end up dreading going to sleep because I don't know where to put my arm. I end up putting either 'Polar Ice' on it or 'Rub A535 Ultra strength and taking a 400mg ibuprofen. For quite a while I was taking 2 rapid release extra strength gel caps of acetominiphen but they didn't seem to help. My pain is worst in the morning, probably cause I slept on it wrong but sometimes during the day when I move it wrong or I just feel pain(like now) radiating down my arm from my shoulder to the bones in my hand(good thing I'm left-handed). I don't know who I should see...when I told my Dr. about it she just said to do exercises so that it wouldn't become frozen shoulder(which my sister had and it was very painful)some help my Dr. is!!!! You just can't get a good Dr. in Edmonton Ab, Canada. Hardly any dr.s are even taking new patients. Who do you think I should see?
