Hi everyone! I know its been so long since I have been on. Maybe since Dec-ish? I have really missed the support that you can recieve from here. I guess I am going to fill you in on my journey since that time. Along with the chronic back pain they added the fantastic fibromyalgia to my list. I have also had 4 trips to the hospital, the latest I just came home yesterday, with diverticulitis. Thats the reason I haven't really been on here. I am usually in the hospital anywhere from 2-7 days with it at a time. I don't care if I ever see chicken broth again in my life! I have been poked, prodded on and under anesthesia so much lately my veins are forming hard spots! I had a colonoscopy since I have had bowel trouble with blood and thankfully it was negative. Though they were discussing Krohn's disease as a possibility. Does anyone else have this issue? Or know anything about it? And the latest in the Tampa area is a spree of armed robberies for oxycontin. There are only 2 walgreens here that will sell them and they have a security guard there. I use CVS but had an issue with my last refill that oxycontin was on back order. I waited it out for a week and a half, but holy smokes I started to have some serious withdrawls. I thought I would make it, but I had to contact my dr who told me next time let them know so I don't go through all that. Such an awful feeling. I am considering switching the med. Morphine does nothing for me, been on pills, patches, etc. I have also tried metadone before, with little luck. And I am allergic to sulfa meds. Does anyone have any recommendations? I like the long-lasting effect of oxycontin, but I feel its getting too dangerous here to stay on them. I don't agree with the people wo are stealing meds, but I can understand what would drive them to that point. And last but not least I was actually let go from my job from all the abscenses. So now I have to panick about medical coverage. Other than that I am thankful to be here talking to everyone. I hope all is well..... and Gramps- I have often sent prayers your way- how have you been? Much love to all and I hope this finds you well in another day. -Shannon
