I didn't see you on earlier, but maybe I didn't look closely enough. We'll keep trying, though!
By the way, there was a post earlier about the oxy issue. Something about the manufacturer sued the generic producer for a patent violation and won? So that there - I think - may not be anymore generic oxy. It was only what supply was left on shelves, etc. I don't know if all this is true, but there is a post somewhere and it's relatively recent. So it may not be your insurance company but the actual availability of the generic.

I asked my doc about it and it's apparently true. He gave me a $40 coupon for it but my pharmacist still had generics left and my copay on those is only $10 so I went that way instead. Sad situation but those pharmaceutical houses sure are out for our wellbeing, aren't they?...ya, right! They're only out for their executives and stockholders. Only way I can see to come out ahead is to buy stock in the company.

Are you serious? I have been taking oxycodone hcl 15mg tablets since beginning my pain management, are we talking about the same thing?. right now I pay 100% due to hitting the hole in medicare prescription drug insurance. I pay about 38 bucks for 120. My PMD told me if not generic it would be well over 300. Say it isn't so!!!!!!!!!!! Please

I think the issue is with oxycontin, not oxycodone. At least I hope that's true, since I take the generic oxydocone (percocet - brand name). Of course I was pondering asking whatever PM doc I eventually find to consider oxycontin to see if that would help me to function - and maybe work. I'd have to pay a higher co=pay for that myself. This gets even scarier when we think about getting older.

And that medicare prescription drug coverage is pathetic, isn't it? Only ones who made out there are the drug companies.

Big Lucy, I'll keep trying to catch you. I've been down with a sinus infection for over a week, though, so my energy and my schedule have been out of whack (even more than usual!).

This is true. It happened awhile ago and it's taken awhile for the generics to sell out. They are no longer available here. I don't like paying more but I am lucky to have insurance so my copay is just doubled. I prefer the brand. Some of the generics(like Teva and Dava) don't work as well for me as the brand so I am happy to pay the extra. The 15% discrepancy allowed by Teva in their generics is too much for me.
