I thought I would share a source of help that some of you may or may not know about
who are taking expensive drugs. Obviously I am on SSD and receive Medicare. When I began taking Humira for my crohn's disease I ended up not being able to afford it once I hit the hole as it runs me $1450.00 or so each month. So in desperation I began asking around and my pharmacist gave me the name of an organization which helps people who have insurance but cannot afford the out of pocket costs. Please look and see if you may qualify for assistance like I was able to. The organization is called Patient Access Network Foundation. There are funds allocated for many different diseases and conditions. They have made a huge difference in my life.. they are caring wonderful people trying to help the people caught in the middle of making not enough money to pay and making too much money to qualify for state aid.

Also try the pparx.org website. It's the adds with montel williams on tv. I hope this can also help some people. The process takes about
2 weeks and a doctor who doesn't mind filling out a forum.
