Facial Pain

I have been suffering from chronic CONSTANT facial pain for over a year. The pain started in my gums and moved to the entire left side of my face. I went to every doctor and had every test done imaginable. I finally saw a tmj specialist who fitted me for a mouthgaurd that I wear constantly. That took some of the pain in my face away however I still have severe pain in between my eye and nose on the left. I also hurt the right side of my jaw a few months ago. I have trigger points throughout my neck, shoulder and back and get trigger pont injections in these. I recently started seeing a chiropractor who said my neck is misaligned and causing the pain in my eye because of nerve compression. However, I am still in extreme pain in my jaw and my face and can hardly eat. I have also recenlty been having pain when drinking organge juice under my tongue and in my gums. I also see a massage therapist every week which seems to help loosen up the muscles. I am not sure if what I am currently doing is the answer and I desperately need an answer. I don't know how much longer I can deal with the pain. Any ideas/stories/advice would be appreciated.

 

 

Alice, I also have severe pain on the left-side of my face. Almost feels like sinus pressure along with jaw pain, gum pain, tooth pain, eye pain, and nose pain. What is this? I have Fibro, and thought that this pain is a symptom of that. It has been going on constantly for a month and a half.

You mentioned a mouth guard that you wear all the time. Did you get that from your regular dentist?
