I've been on narcotics for years for chronic pain, and boy as first the sleep thing really blew. I could sleep, but it was not deep restful sleep. Turns out this is fairly common, as any opoid analgesis interferes with certain brain wave patters, the ones that are common to deep restful sleep. Talk to you doctor indeed, he should have good advice. For me, I just kind of got sort of used to it. Not much help I suppose, hang in there!
