When you hit the "Submit" button, your posts will not go to your email. When you hit "Post reply" they will. Simple as that. That is, they will as long as you hit the button on the bottom of the "Post reply" indicating that you want to be notified of responses to your post, "Notify me of reply postings by e-mail."
