Spinal Cord Stimulator Post-op

Part of the post-op pain expectation will depend on what type of leads they're placing. I have a paddle lead that was placed through a laminotomy, which is the more invasive of the options. The surgery was certainly no walk in the park on a Spring day, but I was home in less than 12 hours and well maintained on oral pain medication. :)

When I had mine done I stayed the night, you get better pain med's if you stay, lol. I am a larger guy 6' 4" 310lbs, and it still leaves a rather large bulge on my side with a very large scar, so I dunno about smaller folks, hope it doesnt really stick out for ya. That is a constant bother with these you can feel bumps and edges,takes some time to get used to it, but it is a godsend for me, I just love it. Hope all goes well for you :)
