Fentanyl patches last three days in general, they were developped here in Belgium close to where I life and are in common use here as the factory is located nearby. Although fentanyl is stronger than morphine the dosages are much smaller. As both are opiumderivatives, withdrawal symptoms should be minimal. I used them myself for several years. I switched from (amongst a lot of other stuff) morphine to fentanyl to opium without any serious side-effects regarding these chances.
The first time you use a patch, it should begin to kick in about an hour later and the first times (once every three days normally), you could feel a little dizzy or sleepy. Trouble is they are addictive just as morphine and your body gets quite easily used to them as they release their substance on a constant basis. If you have stomach problems they surely are a recommendation, but you should take into account that, while not actually getting "high" as such, you will in a couple of years become dependant or even addicted, depending on the dosage.
Morphine patches do not exist as morphine is hardly absorbed by the skin. There have been experiments in the 1950s and 60s with morphine patches by the UK military but they proved to be ineffective.
If you need any more information on these patches, just let me know, my neighbour works for the company that produces them.
Take care.
