Jennca, no, that is not a silly question, but a very legit one. Many people notice differences in the meds from different manufactors. Unfortunately I have heard and from my own experiences that Mallinkroft are not as good. Personally they gave me headaches. I haven't had anything from them is a couple of years, but others have posted and said they do not like them and they don't seem to work as well. I've heard them called Mallinkrap. I have also heard others say that generics can be 20% off in the composition of the brand med and pass inspection. So you can be getting 20% less of the medication. I think that's crazy. If possible, ask your pharmacist for a different manufactor.
I was surprised to learn that some pharmacies will only carry one type of generic and that's what you then have to get. That happened at my pharmacy with the patch and I did not like the generic they carried, so I went back to the brand. It costs me 30 dollars more a month, but I figure it's worth it. I do get generic for my breakthrough, but it's made by the same manufactor and is the exact same everything except for the name. It saves my insurance a lot by doing it so I don't mind as long as it's the same.
take care
