What is your favorite breed of dog or cat??

I have two german shepherds.  I have had this breed since I was a child, but only started showing them as an adult.  It is a wonderful breed and I love my dogs very very much.  Their names are Tzar and Xander.

My daughter has two tabby cats.  One of them is named Leo and he has my heart.  I have never been a cat person, per se, but since I met Leo, I am hooked.  He is the most loving and sweet cat in the world.

So What are your favorites??

I love golden retrievers. I have two of them at home, and have had goldens all my life. I look forward to seeing them every weekend, as they are the biggest loves. It's so great to come home & get a royal greeting from them. Big dogs are my favorite! They are the best to snuggle with!

I also have two cats at home. A domestic short hair light grey tabby with a fiery temper & who is queen of the roost, and a domestic long hair (possibly part Persian -- he was a stray as a kitten, and is the most gorgeous cat) black cat with white feet & chin -- he is the sweetest thing, with a purr that can be heard from miles away.

Oh ... I forgot!
I had Hector as a child.
He was a mongrel -
Looked like a small black lab.
He protected me in my bed.
He growled at Dad when he came to tuck me in.
He growled at Mom when she came to tuck me in.
It all got to be too too much when Ole' Hector
began protecting started protecting my right leg
from my left leg.
I couldn't move!
Before sleep I called for more quilts.
I knew he couldn't bite through the quilts.
I kept silent
It was a bad day when I finally had to tell my parents.
