OK, everyone, here's the scoop... I'm sure many of you remember fondly the days when we were lounging carefree on the beach, watching the hot-balloon races, and trying to keep the pets from eating up all the chocolate from the hot tubs. If you weren't around for those "good ol' days" I'd highly recommend a quick search through the forum for the Beach Party Thread. Read it. It'll be worth it. I promise. But I digress...

Well, as you know we have PaLady to thank for maintaining the party atmosphere on the beach front for all those weeks - quick! three cheers for PaLady! When the party came to an end, she most graciously offered to pass the torch, and we all put on our thinkin' caps... Right. OK. Then one day, FINALLY... The next party thread has arrived! YAY!

Here is the plan for our new thread…

As the holidays approach I got to thinking how much I wish I could send some special (or maybe some really entertaining) little gifts to the special friends I’ve come to know here in this forum. So this is our new “virtual gift giving” thread! Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukah, or just want to give a gift to someone for no particular reason – this is the place to do it! Be creative! Be funny! Be encouraging! Be silly! (But be appropriate – we have permission for the thread so long as it stays above the line!)

what a fun thread! my gift is to everyone! because i love you all! may you each recieve a gift of sleep from the happy dreams sleep fairy. one nights rest (i'm talking 8 hours here) so we can all work on feeling better!

For Linda -
Your own personal Latin chef for a year. He will make you whatever you want, teach you to make stuff when you want to learn how to make something or voraciously suck down all the leftovers whenever you yourself feel up to cooking.

For PALady -
One of those concept cars that can drive itself. I would make sure it has a sleeping compartment for longer trips complete with a top of the line mattress & an excellent water pillow. I think maybe something like the luxury version of "Kitt" from Knight Rider. It would be sociable & could drive around town & pick up friends and bring them to you when needed. :)
