I always have trouble with "affect" and "effect"

Let's see:

Cake EFFECTS your weight.
Your AFFECT after cake may be that of a fat person.

Is that right?
"Affect" is usually used in a psychological sense. Oh, maybe someone will come along
and correct this. More fun than using the dictionary.

effect is the outcome of something or to create. examples are items in your home- personal effects. affect think of affection, affect meaning emotion. ie: i have affection for my mother. not to sound like a dork, just good at english, i was an english tutor in college.
back to the topic, i am stunned prune juice works so well. pamela, the only senokot i had results from is the one labeled overnight.... there are several brands. i don't know if that is the one you were talking about. when i buy the packs i automatically put it in my pill box so i don't forget a dosage. *sighs* so many pills..... so little water. lol. you are right about people dying that way.... there are days i think i can understand how it happens. i hope none of you ever experience anything like that. its so painful. i need a pain pill just for that, lol. hope everyone is doing well....

i have never gone to the er for constipation. there is AS A LAST resort magnesium sulfate (i think is the name). they had me drink a few bottles before my colonscopy. its meant to empty your bowels completely. someone may know the right term & can correct me if its wrong. it tastes awful, even though it comes in cherry. tastes like stale seltzer, if there is such a thing. but i am telling you its cheap & half a bottle will move everything inside you. maybe consult a pharmacist if you get brave enough to try it. definitly for severe cases only. do not drink the whole bottle or you will need to have a day just to commit to the bathroom.

 Jim I have been on the oxy's 40mg 5 times a day. The told me to drink lots of wter and fiber. Fruits and veggies, I sometimes have to take a laxative. Hope this info helps. :-)

Can anyone share with me how you cope with constipation due to Pian Killers?

I have heard bad things about laxatives. My only remedy is 22 OZ of Prune Juice before bed.
But with the Oxy's I think my body is in for quite a shock.

Of course a High Fiber diet and lots and lots of water goes without saying.
