Hello Folks
I'm Glen AKA Theswan or billypilgram.
I have chronic low back pain from a Spondyloltheisis that went from a 1-1 and 1 half to a 3 from a car accident. I had fusion etc in 1997 with no sucess, in fact, got worse with one screw breaking in half. Now I can add arthritis in my left knee as a pain factor. The doctor says I need a knee replacement. (I'll wait on that verdict as long as I can)
Anyway, I went on a clinical trial of "Suboxone" at Columbia-Prespyterian hospital. This was in March. The trial was for "bad" pain patients who took more then perscribed. I believed my pain warrented more but who knows? The point is that the darn stuff worked on my pain and I have no thought of taking more-In fact, I just cut my dose from 16mg to 14mg and will taper down as low as I can while still getting relief.
I also tried Lyrica again as an adjunct and darn it worked great! For two weeks only!? (sigh) I hate this stuff as it seems I have to lower my dose then, get off of it altogether, then, start it again! Seems silly but this has happended a few times. I'm about to go off it again.
Has anyone tried Lyrica and then gone back to "Neuronton"? And did it work like the Lyrica?
I don't know but maybe "tweaking" the GABA-like medications, I can maintain the great relief I get from time to time with the Lyrica. I mean this stuff made my mood better as well as almost erasing my pain!
Hello again to all. I remember "Chutz" and I believe "Seaotter" The other good folks will come back to my memory in time-it's an age thing lol
Glen
