Blocked topic?

Hi I was wondering why a topic was blocked?

We had an an interesting forum on pain medication and the DEA's role in making it hard to obtain proper treatment. I am curious as to why it was blocked. Did we break a rule?

No biggie just interested. I wanted to say Hi to Pam and talk about "Slaughterhouse 5" A great book that made me a Vonnegut fan.

I feel bad that something I posted offended someone. I guess it was controversy and that is not allowed.

The fact remains that we do have a vested interest in knowing if we will have adequate care. I do apologize to those offended as I did not want to hurt anyone just open up the idea of change.

I did not see anythiing in that topic that was off color or even remotely offensive so who knows who got it shut down and why. People are odd..mkay

It always tickles me when controversial topics are locked.  We sure wouldn't want controversy in our lives, now would we?!  I'm not talking specifically about HW, either - it happens across forums all over the internet.   It's kind of like turning the radio up to cover that sound coming from your car engine.  

I thought this topic would be deleted or locked (whatever that is)

For that reason, I tried to print out information for furture study. My computer
bogged down and would not print the post I was mostly interested in.

I'm not surprised that we weren't allowed to speak. However, I'm very sad.
Chronic pain is
so hard to deal with. If our pain suddenly turned into Cancer, we'd get relief &
understanding. (I hope this post goes through)

We gotta do something, guys. We're living so much longer due to new procedures.
Unfortunatley, our pain medication has not kept pace.

What interests me most is why a moderator hasn't jumped in and answered your questions! 10 people have posted in regards to it so this will also likely be blocked. I'm not paranoid, have nothing to be paranoid about, something just not quite right about this site.

I don't see where "Jim" has spoken on this particular thread.

We have for years and years let the opinions of others dictate whether or
not we can have relief from Chronic Pain. It's impossible to just "Let Go"
of the idea.

I have pain in my neck. Don't know if I can make it to Christmas Eve
lunch. That's our only family celebration and it starts it two hours!
Let's see how Baclofin does.

And may I add that the reason that no moderator from this forum got to this right away is Lindalou and I were both down very ill. I couldn't hold down water for 4 days. So...thanks Ides for popping in and helping out.

I do agree...the purpose the owner had when setting up this forum is to have a place to support others who are suffering with disease issues as he does. It's no secret the he suffers from Crohns disease and is often just as sick as the rest of us. He wants this to be a family friendly sight, something you wouldn't mind your children reading. He has no problem with discussing political issues as they pertain to getting medications but that's not what he wants the focus of this forum to be. There are literally hundreds of other forums for that purpose and he asks that this forum please be more upbeat and supportive....not that he's PC or any other such things. When a topic starts to stray off topic or seems to be heating up he will lock the thread to avoid it getting worse. If it's blatantly against the forum rules then he'll delete it. But he obviously felt there was some merit to the discussion.
