Holidays

Sitting here thinking about having to put that turkey in the oven day after tomorrow and fix Christmas dinner and it got me to wondering how on earth I am going to make it through another holiday in so much pain! Luckily I have a hubby to help me make dinner but I wondered for those of my fellow pain sufferers like PA and everyone else who are alone for the holidays.....what are your plans? Going out to dinner? Family fixing dinner? Or are you just staying home and curling up with a good book and a turkey sandwich?

Anyway wanted to wish each of you a safe and happy holiday and I truly hope that each of you get exactly what you want from the big guy dressed in red this year Ho HO HO!

Thanks PA for answering my post. I was wondering where you were headed this year for the Holiday. It is great that you are not going to be alone for Christmas that really makes me feel so much better as I was really worried about that. I hate seeing people alone for the Holidays and think that it should not be that way. I've often invited friends over and so has hubby for Christmas dinner as they were not going anywhere for Christmas and were planning on spending it alone.

I'm up at 1:00am again in total agony which is really getting old! So I'm laying on the couch (not very comfortably I might add) reading through some posts and waiting until I can take some bt meds

That's too bad Bionic that you can't really celebrate the holidays this year. But at least you are prepared with a nice dinner . Hope it is a semi pain free day for you and Happy holidays to you and yours.

I have the best Christmas present of all this year, My two sailors are home on leave. Joe, my oldest is stationed in Bremerton, Washington and Pete Jr. in Norfolk, Va. They are both going on deployment in 09, Joe around the Paciffic rim showing the world our nation's power and Pete Jr. to Afganistan, Iraq, Africa, & the Mediteranian. They will be gone for 8 - 10 months so to have them here now is a true blessing! I have been tirelesly working to make thier leave a nice one. I asked for the time off but my Boss said I'd at least have to work the mornings this week which leaves little time for everything else. Like most Sailors, they have been up late partying at home with friends and Mom and since I get up at 4:00am there has been little sleep. On the pain front, it's getting really bad. I'm trying very hard to push through it but it is getting the better of me this time. I don't want to wreck Christmas for everyone so I'm trying to keep my mouth shut, my wife of 28 years hates to hear about my pains. I have to cook Christmas Eve traditional Itallian fish dinner tonight for everyone and my Mom then dinner on Christmas day. I'm just praying for the strength to make it through this holliday season. I have to just do it! I'm sure so many of you know exactly what I mean!
