I'm about
to go on the Fentynyl patch and my mother thinks she heard something about
a recall of Fentynyl patches. I'm going to research it and check with my doctor, but I wanted to run it by everyone here first. Thanks

There have been several recalls of Fentanyl patches.

I always request the pharmacy order the Mylan generic patches. Mylan uses a matrix delivery rather than a gel resevoir and leakage has been the root cause of every patch recall thus far.

I just watched an episode of "Dr. G. Medical Examiner" where one of the defective patches killed a man in his sleep. He took his meds and then put the patch on his shoulder and went to sleep. There was a rupture in the packet and all the medicine leaked too much and too quickly into his body and caused death.
