All out of pain meds I need support

I am all out of pain meds and in a lot of pain from my costochronditis and back pain. My dr appt is not til tommorrow  and dont even know if my dr will refill my pain meds.Tommorrow I am seeing my family dr for the costo. I can't get in to see my pain dr til next week. The worse of it is the pain pills help me sleep. I need some support.I hope everyone has a LPD.

Kara I hate to hear you ran out of your meds. How did that happen? Does your dr not give you a 30 day supply? Call your pain mgt dr and get in sooner. No sense in suffering. Why can't one dr treat both of your conditions? Sure would be alot easier having one on board handling all of it. Susie

I havent been to the pain dr in two months because I have no insurance and couldnt afford to pay the dr visit. I got the pain meds from the hostipal for my costo.

Oh Kara I am so sorry to hear this! I do hope that your doc can help you tomorrow. Until then I would suggest maybe going to the ER if the pain gets to be too much for you. Maybe they can help you with your pain hun. Anyway, I'll be praying for you sweetie.

Scarred, thanks I may end up going to the er when my hubby gets home because my chest pain from costochondritis is getting severe again and is radiating to my shoulders again. I m also naseuous . which the pain in my shoulders is making it hard to type.

Yes, do get him to take you Kara, thats awful. I feel so bad for you gal. Go & get some help as soon as you possibly can. Is There anyone else that could drive you? I know we don't like to ask others to help but sometimes it can't be avoided. Hugs, Susie

So sorry to hear that you are having a rough day! Hopefully you can get into the ER so that you can get though until your doctor's appointment tomorrow. I hope that you doctor understands how much the meds are helping you & keeps you on them! Sending you hugs.

I sure do hope you can get some relief. I don't know if this would help you at all, but I just stumbled - thanks to my local pharmacist - onto a program in my County (In U.S.) that helps pay for prescriptions when you don't have insurance. I was able to get one of my non-pain related meds that way and pay out of pocket; it cost me less than my co-pay would have. Pharmacists can be a wealth of info, I'm learning!
