Good Doctor Green Valley Arizona

Hi all. By any chance, does anyone know a good doctor in Green Valley, Arizona? I have chronic pain in my legs basically. I have a hard time accepting there is nothing else to do, and tired of playing doctor-- the one who comes up with ideas. My doctor seems to have no ideas. I've tried, epidurals, pt and pills. I don't know what to do. The mri is over 2 years old now. It showed bulging disks, mild to moderate stenosis and foraminal stenosis. Every ortho or neuro says there is nothing to be done also. Does anyone know, is this the way the doctors are? or do some have you come back regularly? I feel I sound naive, but I don't know if all doctors are like this or are just better at diagnosing and keeping tabs on their patients. I hope I made some sense. I woke up early and depressed. I know exactly when this pain begain and it hasn't left. I was so active and would love to work but can't say I could commit to it, nor get disability, plus my husband has health issues, which compounds things.

I know I came on asking for a doctor and said a lot more. I am tired of hurting. Thanks for letting me vent.

Hi Susie, thanks for writing again--I like Susie better than straydog. :) I don't have any problem answering. Maybe I just don't understand how it works. I was told one tome onver the phone, I couldgn't get disability if I wasn't working for a certain numer of years but could get SSI. If I don't have a severe diagnosis, how could I? The neuros and orthos siad nothing looked real bad?? Yet I have pain pretty much from my waist down. I don't know much about it at all actually. If my husband was proven to have CFS, could he get it, do you know? We are both pretty messed up, yet I hear how people on this board are working. I don't understand that. Somedays I feel pretty good and others not so good. How does one make a commitment to work, esp at 55 and not working in 8 years?? BTW, I'm just venting, I don't expect you to answer my questions. We do need help and do get medical and food coverage, thank God, but I know I need more info. I filled out a form and my husband said something to the effect that it wasn't good enough but I've heard, going to the right lawyer first is helpful. It is so frustrating. I had a great job years ago and know can't even get a follar sore job,

Thanks Susie, CFS means Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. If it isn't losted, it should be. I doubt that I could collect honestly. Thanks for trying. I think my husband would have a better chance at

Denim, try typing into Google, then once you get their site in the block type in whatever kind of dr you are needing and your city & state and you will have a list of drs in that area for whatever specialty you need. If you say typed in internist, Green Valley, AZ a list of internist will pop up. Thats one good way to get names & numbers. You can pick some out to call close to your eara and if its me. if the person that answers the phone is a desk dragon, I hang up, I don't want to be a patient there,lol. Desk dragons are awful to deal with. Hope you feel better. Check the SS site for your hubby's CFS. Hugs, Susie

Tabithcat, hello and welcome to HW. Tabithcat would you mind starting a new thread introducing yourself? That way more people on the forum will see you as a new member and will respond. I am so sorry to hear of your struggles with CP, your story is all so familiar to people that suffer with CP. You have come to a very good site. Alot of nice people here, swap some good info back and forth and offer a shoulder to lean on when needed. I like your screen name, do you have any cats?

Thanks Skeye, for taking the time to read my post and writing. It is frustrating--what's worse is that my husband is suffering daily and not getting answers and I feel helpless. I suggest seeing different doctors out of love and concern for him. I have a very hard time with doctors not having ideas. I am like you, searching the internet and giving ideas to doctors. I want a doctor who has at least one idea, not none--why is this asking so much? Sure he could send us to specialists, yet they say they don't see anything also, which is very hard to accept. I hope something good comes out of the meeting and I truely wish you the best. Susie, hi dear, thanks for stopping by. I never even heard of this. What is a sat. level? Anything that might help his visit, I'm all ears. He's willing to go. He is going batty and literally sick and tired of being sick and tired. Whatever we read up on, we will throw at the doctor to help us. He is way to young to be living his life on the couch. And I feel terrible and helpless watching him.   

His dr will be happy to give a referral. Rate MD doesn't have a thing. I wish I knew people to ask. We will have to go by what his insurance takes and pray. Thanks, you are a darling for caring. We have no one here and the internet is wonderful for me. Thanks so much.

Susie, We do practically all of the work for the doctor's office. I know the doctor's in the area. Sorry if I didn't clarify that. And we ask for referrals all the time but believe it or not, I am the one checking out the doctors. They don't often know who my insurance accepts and maybe I'm expecting too much--but I would think a doctor would know of other docs with good reps. I feel stranded and yes, they go along with me but it would be very refreshing for my doc to have his own ideas and not always me and me asking for a referral for a specific doctor. It is darn old. But my husband should be asking for a few referrals, the pulmonary, and the gi doctor. I've had the referral dept even have me call for the appts. I think to myself, I should be getting paid their salary, what are they doing? Pretty annoyed today, sorry. Yesterday, a local choropractor was having interviews and just so happens that when I walked the day before, I hurt my leg pretty bad and wound up lying on the couch all day. I'll snap out of it, but sometimes it feels like just let something go my way or something. I believe in God and that there are reasons but this being not well at the same time as my husband gets to me somedays more than others. Thanks for letting me vent. Then I see a bill with a past due month's amt. and I know I never rec'd the bill. The finance charge is huge, yes, money can make you happy. lol. Have to laugh. Sometimes I wonder if they are doing it on purpose but hey with the economy nothing is impossible. Everyone seems like a crook--how did I get here? Oh yeah. Susie, the whole thing has been pathetic since we moved here and we both hurt ourselves. They do somethings, but yes, I do a lot and make calls. How else can you trust them to be setting you up with the right people. Even after a call, an office managed to mess that up, sying he wouldn't see you if he couldn't help you. Turned out to be a false statement, she should not have said that. I had my hopes raised only to be knocked down. He did offer to pay the co pay though--but this isn't my job, I wish it was, I know I could do a better job then most office staffers. Thanks again, I should be sleeping. Be well.
