I'm so sorry to hear your having it so bad, wish I could do something for you. I can send a big warm Florida sunshine hug your way and say a prayer that your misery ends soon. Can you take a warm bath or shower? That always seems to help me. I know it may be a silly suggestion but I feel so hopeless that I can't do more to help you.

Misery loves company, right? So let me be your companion today! LOL I'm heading for a warm shower myself; horrible back spasms just started out of nowhere last night when I got up from a chair.

I, too, wonder about my fusion and other levels getting worse. I know it happens. Sometimes I don't want to know, ya know?

So we'll get through this next day or so. We'll just come here and ramble a lot.

I love to read your posts, even if I don't reply they touch me deeply and express most of the time what I am feeling!

Its been rough for sure, this morning I decided to get up at 3AM...(3AM whats wrong with this picture).  Even lying down is too uncomfortable, I brought my pillows out to the sofa and put them behind my back with an herbal heating pad on the neck and low back, I was hoping by targeting both areas I'd get some relief! Lets just say NOT MUCH!  Decided to check for posts and seeing your replies helped more then the heat!  THANK YOU!

Patti, I'm so glad the shower & music helped! I love to listen to music too, somehow it takes me away. Sometimes to pats travels, places or old friends, other times just fantisizing about things I love to do.
Rhonda-me, Geeze, I'm so sorry you are in such a bad way, I think it will end soon and that little A-hole who has been hitting your brain like a #12 for days will turn into an #7 which will be a welcome friend again after the agony! Please know I'm thinking about you.
Susie, my good friend, I feel like we're old friends already! I hope those spasms left just as fast as they started! I sure know what you mean by "not wanting to know. I put off having the MRI's for longert than I thought. I was looking back through some old paperwork from 03,04 & 05 and all the shots I had back then in my lumbar & cervical spine, geeze, I had so many! I'm really glad I saved them all now, as they may help w/ the SS Dissability I hope! I'm going to look up my old family doc who first started sending me to ortho's back in the late 80's and see if I can get a copy of those records and the pain I was having back then. Sorry, somehow it always comes back to me. I said I wasn't going to post for a while because of that but when I read my friends are hurting, I have to write. Can't help it!

Hi Everybody,

I went for the shots yesterday (Neural Therapy) had relief for about an hour (as long as the procaine lasted).  Basically, everything is the same, I am wearing out...going to PMD today 4:30pm.  

I feel like I can't hold my head up, burning I'm estimating around the T1 area....will be in touch tonight.  It feels like something new is going on below the fusion.  Honestly, can't really tell just so much pain!

I went to my PMD and he thinks I have a whiplash, while I was filling out my symptom update sheet I remembered that I tripped and fell in early Feb.  Its been since then I've been dealing with this, after the fall there was no obvious injury just a slow steady increase of symptoms thats why I couldn't figure what I did....duh!

Anyway, the area around C7,8-T1 is very painful on palpation with arm symptoms and I am getting numbness in different area's off and on (C567 fused).  He has ordered CS and TS xrays to make sure the Plate and screws are okay and no cracks etc.  plus to make sure I didn't cause any damage to the Tspine.  Whenever they order xrays and they come back negative they always then order an MRI, I am a little frustrated as to why he just didn't order the MRI to begin with.  Of course, I'm not thinking straight so I should just shut up!  

Seems like when I coast along and am dealing with the regular pain level I go and do something that makes it unbearable.......of course, when I get through that, I always feel grateful to be back to my normal severe pain vs. unbearable....sick huh?  Do you understand what I am saying?

Thanks PALady....lol....so true!  My intelligent mind knows about the xray/MRI difference, you haven't seen it anywhere have you?  I told my Dr. I feel like I'm turning into a wack wack....oh wait I earned that title years ago....

I decided today I am going to wear the cervical collar and see if it helps!  Going for the xrays later today...yesterday PMD gave me his email address so I could contact him directly should I have an emergency because when you call his office and leave a message it can be 24-48 hours before they return the call.  Last Friday when I called the Angels were with me because his MA answered the phone, so I was able to get help instantly and they called me on Monday with more instructions and an appointment time! Thats what I call LUCK! hmmm maybe I should buy a lottery ticket lol
