Pete's Back!

Hello all my good friends,

As you may or may not have noticed, I haven't been around for a few days until today. I was up in the country with my son Pete Jr. who is home on leave from the Navy. It's been the best medicine ever having time with him. I have stopped wearing my neck brace 24/7 and only wear it part of the day and not at night. My neck still hurts inside around my spine but I guess thats normal. As far as the symtoms I was having which led me to have the surgery, they are gone!!! The shoulder, arm, chest pains have totally stopped and I am thrilled with the outcome so far! Of course we never know what the future holds but so far so good! As I posted after the surgery, my other problems (pains) have intensified tenfold since the 9's & 10's from my neck problems have faded. So you will not get rid of me that easy! You will be stuck with me through at least 9 or 10 more hot spots in this old beat up body of mine! But I think I'm on the right track! I have my 2 week follow up w/ my surgeon tomorrow and will let Y'all know what he says. I'm planning on going back to work soon as I've used up all my vacation time for recuping! All for now, I'll catch all of Y'all later!

My neck is "inoperable." I think I've said that before. It's an age thing.d

I'm so thrilled I have goose bumps up and down my arms to hear your surgery was successful. And most of all about the time you spent with your son. As a parent of adult children, I totally understand your joy!

Hi Pete, this is such awesome news to hear that old pain from the neck is gone. That is exactly how it should be if a surgeon did his job right. I have seen so many necks done and it was always great when a client said "you know when I woke up from surgery that old neck pain was gone" because you know the difference of that pain versus surgery pain totally different." A good surgeon is worth his weight in gold. You are so right, Pete Jr was your best medicine. Now, are you suppose to be weaning yourself from the brace? Just remembe regardless of how good you feel that neck is not healed on the inside, it will take some time for the "innards" to heal up lol. Be very careful and behave yourself. Just cause you got your neck fixed doesn't mean you leave HW-when you come here and hang out you are a "lifer". We need inspirational stories like yours. As for work you know where we all stand on that. Listen to your dr and make sure he knows you do some lifting at your job...Keep us posted on whats going on...>Susie
